Challenge Course (High Event) Associate Instructor Certificate Course CCHE-AI 2023-01 (Updated with Student name list)

The Adventure Training Committee is going to hold the Challenge Course (High Event) Associate Instructor Certificate Course CCHE-AI 2023-01 between February and March 2023. This associate instructor certificate course belongs to the advance level of the High Event Challenge Course series (please refer to Challenge Course Association of Hong Kong, China official website for complete hierarchy of training), and is open to designated instructors with related certificate/qualification, detail as follows:

     4th to 5th March 2023 (Saturday to Sunday).

(2nd Weekend)

 

 

     0930 hours to next day 1230 hours.

 

Assessment

5th March 2023 (Sunday) 1330 hours to 1630 hours.

Objective

1. In the list of designated instructor(s), and

 

 

2. holder of the HKAC“Challenge Course High Event Technical Certificate Course”

 

 

     Certificate, or

 

 

     holder of the“High Event Challenge Course Technique Training”certificate

 

 

     issued by the Challenge Course Association of Hong Kong, China, and

 

 

3. able to meet the requirement(s) of the revised“Physical test/requirement”by

 

 

     Adventure Training Committee (Attachment III).

 

Uniform

Field Dress.

 

 

(Beret, Jungle hat, DPM shirt, DPM Squadron T-shirt trousers(Instructor), Green

 

 

    nylon belt, Black sock and Boots ; Prepare Corps T- shirt / Squadron T-shirt for

 

 

     substitution

Course fee

Instructor – HK$ 400.0/head, non-refundable.

Deadline

Content

1. Introduction of Challenge Course (High Event),

 

 

2. use and care of climbing equipment,

 

 

3. belaying method and skill,

 

 

4. installation of equipment and operation procedure,

 

 

5. rescue technique and instruction skill,

 

 

6. Written Examination and Practicum.

 

Remarks

1. Fees and places of enrolled participants is non-refundable and non-

 

 

     exchangeable.

 

 

2. All participants must comply with the anti-epidemic measures.

 

 

3. For non HKAC certificate holder(s), supporting document (e.g. certificate copy) is

 

 

     required when submitting nomination.

 

 

4. The Hong Kong Adventure Corps Certificate of Competence – Challenge Course

 

 

     (High Event) Associate Instructor Certificate will be awarded upon completion of

 

 

     the course requirement and assessment. Certificate holder can execute an

 

 

     activity or training according to the Standing Operating Procedure provided by

 

 

     HKAC.

 

 

5. Upon course completion, candidate who meets the requirement(s) of

 

 

     Challenge Course Association of Hong Kong, China(CCAHK) can apply for related

 

 

     certificate. Extra charge of HK$100.0 per copy will be collected by course

 

 

     instructor based on actual demand.

 

 

6. The training course will be cancelled if enrolment is insufficient (e.g. less than 1

 

 

     persons per session) .

 

 

7. Standard/instruction note is required for course students, and the extra

 

 

     expense(s) of photocopy/binding will be shared by course students. The amount

 

 

     can be expected around HKD 30.

 

 

8. This course is eligible for the HKAYP Physical Recreation Section and Service

 

 

     Section , please contact respective UU Leader or CHQ for details.

 

 

9. Class arrangement is subject to change depending on the latest situation of the

 

 

     epidemic and the suspension of training. Details of the latest arrangement are

 

 

     available at HKAC website ( http://hkac.org/ ).

10. Course candidate(s) should report to rendezvous point on time, there will be

 

 

     NO waiting for late-comers.
