Air pistol and air rifle shooting practice (September to December 2021)

In order to provide Corps' members with opportunities to enhance and polish shooting skill (air pistol and air rifle), the 10m indoor range of High Island Training Camp will be operated by Corps Shooting Programme (CSP), and opened to qualified members for practice purpose. Details are as follows:

Physical class/training.

Training objective

To provide Corps’ members with suitable venue and equipment for air shooting

practice.

 

 

Location

Hong Kong Adventure Corps High Island Training Camp, 10m indoor range.

( Sai Kung Man Yee Road, Sai Kung. )

 

 

Target

1.

Aged 15 or above,

2.

Corps’ members (adult instructors (except Potential Instructor) and cadets), and

3.

Holder of 1. 10m Air Pistol Shooting Course (Elementary) Certificate or 2. 10m

 

Air Rifle Shooting Course (Elementary) Certificate or equivalent.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Class size

12 ( Minimum size: N/A ).

Course fee

HK$92.0/person/training day (non-refundable); the fee is to be collected at each

weekend training.

(Transportation, meal and admin fee included. According to the minutes of

Commandant's meetingon 6th November 2019, fee for ammo (HK10.0/person/day) is

waived in order to encourageCorps’ member to participate in the shooting sport.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Uniform

Civilian.

( Corps T-shirt or Squadron T-shirt, trousers(black) and sport shoes. )

 

 

Assembly

Embus (AM) -

0755 at Temple Mall North L1 drop off / pick up area.

Dismiss

Embus (PM) -

1650 depart from HITC and travel back to MTR Choi Hung Station.

Deadline

1700 hours, 2 weeks before each training dates.

Training content

Competition rules, shooting/firing positions and skills practice.

Remarks

 

 

1.

Fees and places of enrolled participants is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

 

2.

HK$57.00 can be exempted if no transportation needed, please choose the

corresponding option in the nomination form.

 

 

 

3.

Participants should at all times wear proper uniform/clothing, failure to do so will result

in suspension from training.

 

 

 

4.

Applicant may choose to participate in all or parts of the training dates.

 

5.

Catering service may not be provided depending on the camp usage.

 

6.

Participants MUST always bring along their Corps membership card and Shooting

Training Record Card.

 

 

 

7.

Participants must follow instructions given by the responsible Range Officer and Arms

Instructor all the time.

 

 

 

8.

Participants may be requested to perform the "Arms Handling Test" anytime during the

shooting practice; failure to pass the test can result in prohibition of practice.

 

 

 

9.

This course is eligible for the HKAYP Silver Award Physical Recreation Section activity,

please contact respective UU Leader or CHQ for details.

 

 

 

10.

Squadrons and units are welcome to contact Project Officer (Training) for organizing

squadron-based / unit-based 10m air pistol and 10m air rifle shooting course

(Elementary).

 

 

 

 

 

11.

Class arrangement is subject to change depending on the latest situation of the

epidemic and the suspension of training. Details of the latest arrangement are available

at HKAC website ( http://hkac.org/ ).

 

 

 

 

 

12.

#1 Course candidate(s) should report to rendezvous point on time, there will be NO

waiting for late-comers.

 

 

 

 

 

Student name list will be uploaded to Corps’ website 7 days before the commencement of the course (please check accordingly). In case of uncertainty, please contact Project Officer (Training) at Tel: 2792 6486 during office hours.
