Day 4, 5 and 6 logs (24, 25 and 26, 2018)
.
Last time we said that we would drive to Yangshuo at 6:30 on the morning of July 24th because we want to visit Xingping Ancient Town and take a bamboo raft tour on the Minjiang River (to go out early in the morning because there will be a large vessel after 9:00 am every day. Sailing, not to swim in the river).
.
"Water is inserted in the wind, the pen holder is in Yunshan"..... This is the lyrics of a TV series theme song in Guilin and Yangshuo more than 30 years ago. On the $20 bill, there is a beautiful view called Chaoshan Mountain. We sat on the bamboo poles and the mountains and rivers were in full view; along the way we saw Yuanbaoshan, the Seven Immortals, the Xianggong Mountain, etc. To be honest, these "ingots" and "fairies" really need some imagination to appreciate.
.
After lunch, we set off to visit Yinziyan. There are stalactites in the cave with different geological ages. As the stone contains crystals, the light shines like silver.
.
"West Street" is a famous pedestrian street in Yangshuo. We went there for dinner before dinner. But the most attractive to us is not the indigenous shop but the old man who sells traditional instruments on the street. We bought cucurbits and flutes.....
.
On the morning of July 25, we inspected the scenic spot of Mulong Lake. Although we have been to Mulong Lake on a cruise in the evening when we arrived in Guilin, it is completely another feeling during the day and on the shore.
.
After lunch, I said goodbye to the 3-day tour guide "Little Flower", which took the D2818 high-speed train from Guilin West Station to Duyun, Guizhou. With the last experience, it took only 2 minutes and 15 seconds for the team to gather on the platform after the train was parked.
.
Guizhou (黔) is dominated by Miao people, and they are very warm and hospitable. We were deeply impressed by this enthusiasm at the first dinner of the cricket (especially some of the mentors..... a smile).
.
"Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village" is another focus of our investigation after Foshan, which has experienced Lingnan culture. This “Thousands of Miao Villages” is made up of more than 10 natural villages built by mountains. It is currently the largest Miao village in the world. The guide Guo told us that the story of "Butterfly Mother" (the common ancestor of the Miao nationality) and Chiyou made us more interested in this minority. In Miao Village, we also tasted the "long table feast" with the students of the Miao nationality. What is even more exciting for the members is our honorary head, Ms. Liang Tang Qingyi, and the initiator of the Tonggan Tongli Miles, Sir Zhong Yijieyi, Grand Bauhinia, KBE, CMG, Hon. RICS, JP (Sir David Akers-Jones, GBM KBE CMG Hon RICS JP) also made a special trip from Hong Kong to Guizhou to stay with us. They are very concerned about the team's journey and physical health for a few days, and asked if we can get used to things in Guangxi. They also took photos with the teams. In the banquet, we made friends with the Miao students. The restaurant also specializes in "water-based wine". Our team members tried the toasting culture of the Miao people.
.
The 9-day trip has passed halfway through now and has begun to enter the climax of this visit and experience.
